Michael E. Brage, MD, is an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon who sees patients at UW Medicine Orthopedics at Harborview Medical Center’s Sigvard T. Hansen Foot and Ankle Institute. He treats foot and ankle disorders including arthritis, tendon ruptures, foot and ankle deformities, trauma, and fractures. He also performs total ankle replacements and repair of cartilage lesions.
He grew up in Chicago and earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois Chicago and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Chicago. He then completed a fellowship program specializing in foot and ankle surgery at the UW School of Medicine. Dr. Brage is board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Brage’s professional career has taken him to Northwestern University, University of California Irvine and University California San Diego. In 2011, he joined the faculty at Harborview Medical Center. He is thrilled to be in Seattle and explore all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Dr. Brage enjoys the challenge of helping patients with severe foot and ankle problems that limit their ability to lead active lifestyles. It is rewarding for him to hear from patients who have been able to resume activities following surgery.
