Dr. Gartenhaus received his Doctorate from NYCPM. He completed a 3 year residency in foot and ankle surgery at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a level one trauma center, in Jamaica, NY. His residency included experiences in hospital, clinic and private office settings. He received extensive training in diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle trauma, elective foot and ankle surgery and pediatric care. During his third year, he rotated for six months with several foot and ankle orthopedic surgeons at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, NY. This rotation had a significant emphasis of treating sports related injuries of the foot and ankle. He was chief resident during his third year. He has been on staff at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center as an attending since 2017. Dr. Gartenhaus is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the New York State Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine.
