skilled and knew what was needed but very taciturn and did not or was not able to spend time answering all my questions.

Dr Housman is great and explains things very well He diagnosed my problem right away and we have a plan of action.
Smart and obviously experienced doctor. However, was curt and provided zero candor. Felt like patient #99999
The staff was friendly. The Dr answered my questions quickly and satisfactorily. Very professional.
I thought his treatment was right on target and explanation was easy to comprehend.

A very honest doctor who gave an opinion solely based on his scientific knowledge

well organized and efficient office, very polite and gracious assistants.
He is a good doctor, but I did not appreciate having to wait 50 minutes!
Excellent analysis of the problem and clear directive how to proceed.

Dr Hausman was very nice. I have a follow up appointment in October.

He saw me quickly and was thorough in his diagnosis and treatment.
Professional and knowledgeable. Would see this physician again.

He’s the consummate professional and an excellent surgeon
very knowledgeable . Made you feel very comfortable

The doctor was told my issues from his nurse that sat me in the room. When he arrived he almost immediately said “I’ve never heard of this issue and wouldn’t know how to treat it so I’m not going to waste time with tests”. I feel like he could’ve at least examined a bit before reaching that conclusion but regardless time for a second opinion by someone who is willing to spend the time to examine the issue I’m having with my hands.

Spent less than 5 minutes with me. I did get x rays but I guess I’ll see if things turn out ok since he basically said to call back in a week if I didn’t feel better.
I came in with severe shoulder pain and the doctor basically just told me to stop lifting weights. I told him I know longer train heavy and he said that’s about it...I left in the same pain I was in with now a guilt feeling of this being my fault so I need to get myself out..very bad service!

After a very bad experience with another doctor, Dr. Hausman was a breath of fresh air. He answered all my questions, treated me with respect, was considerate of my boundaries (I have a low pain tolerance and was frightened of him handling my broken finger but he put me at ease) and in general, is very pleasant. He is very knowledgable and speaks plainly about expectations and treatment options. I am continuing my treatment with him.
It was wonderful did not wait at all
He is very office setup 2nd rate
I just felt that my concerns about my ailment weren't taken seriously even though I have waited nearly 6 months to be seen by a specialist with hopes it would heal on its own. I wasn't given any options on next steps in terms of physical therapy or otherwise.
Very informative
Verified patient
My meeting with Dr. Hausman was very helpful. He recognized what my problem was and has tried the most conservative approach toward treating it, although he explained that more treatment may be necessary in the future. Treatment by all personnel in the office was very professional.

Doctor came in with two others. No one introduced themselves. I turned to them and asked who they were. Unprofessional. As a patient I and you have a right to know who is coming into my exam room. I came in 15 mins early and patients who came 30 minutes late and as walk ins where seen before me, causing me to sit in waiting room for an hour, then wait another good 10-15 minutes before doctor came into room. Not a great experience.
Just be sure to have a disk or flashdrive of your images with you if you don't already! The Dr was able to look at my phone for the emailed images from Urgent Care, but they had wanted to have larger images if possible.
Verified patient
Dr. Hausman was professional and efficient. I feel confident that he will be able to fix my problem (lack of supination due to scar tissue) via surgery.
Verified patient
Dr. Hausman was thorough in his evaluation of my condition. He answered all of my questions. He is experienced and genuinely cares.
Verified patient
The office seemed like a factory, much more focused on doctor's comfort not patient's. Doctor seemed knowledgeable, but showed lack of interest in my situation, and seemed dismissive. He also took a personal call during the visit and left the office to finish talking on the phone.
Very excellent efficient and prompt staff, professional demeanor and spacious comfortable offices at Mt. Sinai. Getting the MRI was a bit confusing because it’s in the SB lower level of the Mt. Sinai building and requires a separate appointment. Dr.Hausman is very knowledgeable, thorough and had a very nice selection of waterproof casts that he expertly wrapped on the wrist like a sculptor.
Verified patient
There was poor communication and I was rushed out of the office. I was told to get an MRI and we would "talk right after." The MRI was not available until 2 days later and it was obvious I was pushed out without even a goodbye or what to do in the meantime. The diagnosis would not even be available until 24 hours after the MRI, thus I would not have been seeing him for a diagnosis that day anyway. I felt rushed out, lied to, and the process how it would go forward following the consultation was not properly communicated to me.

The staff was very nice and courteous but I waited over 30 mins to see the doctor for a 5 minute visit. The doctor went into the exam room with two other medical professionals and no one including the doctor introduced themselves to me. Luckily what I had nothing major going on with me but the visit was extremely brief the only thing he did was pretty much read my x-rays.
I was seen very promptly. Both Dr. Hausman and his support staff were professional, thorough and reassuring and explained my condition clearly. Luckily no follow up required. Altogether painless and satisfactory. My thanks to all.
