Dr. Michael Hold, a native Houstonian from the Spring Branch area, comes to us from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston after serving as Chief Resident during his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also received his Doctorate of Medicine at the same University, with an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at Texas A & M University in Galveston.
Dr. Hold has been nominated for Physician of the Year at the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital; he is very well liked by his patients, and enjoys establishing and building lifelong relationships with his patients and their families.
Dr. Hold’s favorite hobbies include outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and fishing. He also enjoys listening to live music and the arts. Dr. Hold is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.

Nobody likes well-woman exams, but Dr. Hold really made me feel comfortable. He came in and talked to me about any issues I may be having. During the exam, he made conversation with me and made me feel at ease. After the exam, he answered all my questions openly and honestly. I felt like I had a million questions and he was super patient and answered each one in detail. He's awesome!

He is professional, very polite, a good listener, asks relevant questions and shows concern for the patient. The patient is free to ask questions and he levels with the patient - very important. He had to deliver a baby before my appointment, which was the reason for my wait time. He did not seem rushed after that. I will see this doctor again.

When I called to make my first appointment, I asked the receptionist on the phone if he was a good and personaable physician. Her answer, "Yes, you will like him, he's great."
