Dr. MAYNARD is amaizing, he is my Dr for 4 years when I had superior labrum tear left hip and he heal me without surgery. Now I went back with shoulder superior labrum tear involving the biceps and he suggested surgery or we can try PT. I SAID PT first. Dr Maynard is very confident and knowledgeable I recommended him, please don't think twice just make the appointment and go. Good luck

Dr. Michael Maynard is a 1975 graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He later spent two years as an engineering graduate student and ROTC instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From MIT he went onto Cornell University Medical College where he received his MD degree in 1985. His orthopedic residency training was taken at Hospital for Special Surgery. Thereafter, he continued at HSS for a fellowship year in joint replacement under Chitranjan Ranawat, MD, and Thomas Sculco, MD, and a second fellowship year in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery under Russell Warren, MD.

Dr. Maynard was very professional and attentive and yet lighthearted which made for an overall good experience. He listened to all of my complaints and concerns and wasn't dismissive at all as some doctors can be. He assessed my situation and didn't rush into referring me for multiple tests.

It didn't really address the problem, so I declined to go back. I feel like he is a really good doctor, but didn't really spend much time thinking about what was ailing me. He was with me only 5 minutes, but it took like 3 hours for the x-rays and waiting.

I took a chance and gambled on selecting Dr. Maynard as I was never recommended by anyone. I was amazed how I was able to get an appointment within 3 days. Dr. Maynard's staff did not only show great professionalism they were hospitable and friendly; starting with the receptionist to the assistant all the way to Dr. Maynard himself.

Dr Maynard was fantastic. He was extremely kind, professional and communicated with me on an absolutely perfect level (not condescending, not too elementary and uninformative). He discussed my injury possibilities with me and his office scheduled me an MRI for that same day, and a timely follow-up appointment in less than a week. His receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and ensured that my insurance would cover all my medical imaging. The office was large and immaculate. This was my first experience with an orthopedic specialist and I am glad I chose Dr. Maynard.

I saw Dr. Maynard for a sprained ankle. After looking over my x rays he recommended a course of action to help heal My ankle quicker. He had a very pleasant disposition and easy to talk to. He got me in and out of the office so I could go back to work. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Maynard was professional and thorough asking various questions to properly assess my injury. Very knowledgeable and explaining everything clearly. The wait time is tricky, i recommend factoring at least an hour extra wait time as it does take a bit before he gets to you.
