I had an annual physical with Doctor Melgar. He was a pleasure to see and I would recommend him with confidence to my family and friends.
I am giving 4 stars because of my experience with the nurse beforehand. I asked if EKG's were a standard part of annual physicals, and whether I might be charged extra for it. She looked agitated and went to check with Dr. Melgar. When she returned, she said they were indeed covered but since I didn't seem to want it, she wouldn't go through with it. She started wheeling the EKG machine out without a response from me, then scolded me about how I should have researched this beforehand. This soured an otherwise great experience.

The office was over booked the day of my appointment. The nurse told me, There was not enough time for a full exam because there were other patients waiting. Well I waited for 45 min so I think I'm in my right to ask questions and request blood work. When the doctor came in he was there for about 5 min. He listened to my concerns but gave me rushed answers and left.
