This was just a checkup to make sure my implants are still fine (both knees, one hip). Dr. Morris and his Physician's Assistant were both really nice and gave me the info I needed. My implants are all doing great (knees are now 13 years old, hip will be 3 years old this fall), as am I, thanks in no small part to the skills of Dr. Morris (hip) and Dr. Lombardi (knees). If you need them, Joint Implant Surgeons is the place to go!

Dr. Morris received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, and completed a baccalaureate program in health professions at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his medical doctorate from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed orthopaedic residency training at Duke University, with training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Greenville, SC.
At Duke he earned the John M. Harrelson Chief Resident Teaching Award. Dr. Morris completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee with Dr. Lombardi and Dr. Berend at Joint Implant Surgeons. He is board certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, is a Resident/Fellow member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the International Congress of Joint Replacement, a candidate member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Piedmont Orthopedic Society, Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and the Hobart Amory Hare Honor Medical Society.

Dr is great, but office staff is slow and lacking. I was scheduled for a 9:40 am visit. Did not get called back until almost 10:30. Then waited about 10 minutes for a tech, then another 15 minutes for xrayand then waited another 20 minutes for the doctor. Way to long a wait. Actual time with someone was a total of 20minutes but I was there 2 Hours. Not acceptable!

Dr Morris replaced my right knee up at New Albany and the whole process went smoothly and well. My other knee is acting up and I went for xrays and to see Dr Morris here in Athens, which is really convenient for me. I was seen VERY promptly in their clean new facility and the x-ray process was quick and professional, with a very new, state-of-the-art-looking machine. During my consultation with Dr. Morris, we decided to wait and worked out a plan for managing my knee pain without surgery for now, leaving the surgical option open for down the road. All-in-all, a very satisfactory appointment.

It all starts with the receptionist, the x ray tech, then the nurse that goes over your medical history, they all know the part they are responsible for and they do it like fine tuned machine! Doctor Morris an air of confidence that makes me feel very comfortable when we discuss my upcoming knee surgery and always takes the time to answer any questions that I have.

Professional, x rays directly across exam room and done quickly. I was a new patient with concerns about hips and knees and was in and out in 45 min with an evaluation with Dr Morriis and all my x rays on a disk($5) for my future use. Very well satisfied with my visit.

Dr Morris is excellent. Our wait time was over an hour. This is not the first time for a long wait. It seems that the doctors are over booked and this puts them behind. When a problem arises with a patient it makes the waiting time problem worse.
