I have been a patient of Dr. Schwartz for a decade. He is courteous and professional but also has a personable side that makes you comfortable to be around. He is the epitome of what a doctor should be. He is intelligent and a very capable surgeon.

Michael Schwartz, MD is the Chair of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at ProHEALTH, as well as the Head Team Orthopedist for Hofstra University.
Dr. Schwartz attended New York University, where he received his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Hospital for Joint Diseases. He then completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Temple University. Dr. Schwartz is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His practice is dedicated to the care of adult and pediatric patients with orthopedic and sports medicine related injuries. Over the years, he has spent a great deal of time treating professional, collegiate, and amateur athletes. His professional expertise includes all facets of sports injuries and arthroscopic surgery including ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs and other arthroscopic and open procedures related to the knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle. Dr. Schwartz is also currently involved in the latest minimally invasive techniques pertaining to the restoration and preservation of articular cartilage.

The doctor and his staff were very helpful and kind. They explained what was going to happen and guided me through the appointment nicely. The wait time was a bit - over 90 minutes from walking in until walking out. But that did include onsite X-rays prior to seeing the doctor, which was great.

I would never go back to this office. It was mayhem in the waiting room and they were so rude. The dr did nothing for me I had to see another doctor who actually treated my problem. Waste of time ( 2 hours) and a copay.

Dr. Schwartz was pleasant. My treatment seems appropriate thus far.
The waiting room and length of the wait was unacceptable. It seems there were 4 patients booked at the same time as my appointment. I waited for 45+ minutes. I will not do that again should the waiting room be as hectic as it was this time.

It was very good. Got taken in 10 min before my appointment time and was seen by Dr. Schwartz within 5 minutes. Everyone was helpful at the desk and researching info about the surgery was easy & fast. Have been coming here for a few years wouldn't go anywhere else.
