I felt comfortable and like I could talk openly with Dr. Sedrak - he has a very calm bedside manner. He was thorough with his questioning but at the same time efficient with both our time. Definitely the best dr. I've been to in Los Angeles and suggested natural alternatives and activities instead of immediately prescribing medications. Will most certainly return.

LifeBack Medical is pleased to announce that talented surgeon, Michael Sedrak, MD, has joined our multiple specialties practice as Medical Director of LifeBack Medical, and Bariatric Director of LifeBack Weightloss. Dr. Sedrak has extensive experience in the application of advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques in both the clinical and research arenas. He also specializes in bariatric and esophageal surgery, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), cancer and endoscopy, as well as applying minimally invasive techniques to all areas of general surgery.
Before coming to LifeBack Medical, Dr. Sedrak served on the faculty of UC San Diego and University of Southern California. Dr. Sedrak completed his laparoscopic surgery fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine and residency at New York University School of Medicine. He completed his medical education at the University of South Alabama, College of Medicine. His research experience has focused on the areas of regenerative bioengineering and repair, and microvascular and vascular tissue engineering and has been active in research at the UC San Diego Surgical Research Lab and the Center for the Future of Surgery.
When not at work, Dr. Sedrak enjoys golfing, sailing and hiking.

I am so impressed. My procedure went great but that didn't stop me from being scared and I had a lot of concerns. Dr. Sedrak gave me his cell phone # and was immediately available to answer all questions and help me through the toughest part of recovery. I am so grateful to have this type of follow-up care, from such a generous and sincerely compassionate doctor. I've never experienced such a high level of communication with any of my health providers.

I was not stressed at all in my visit. I was comfortable the whole time, and I recovered very quickly from my procedure. The pan was very minimal like they said, and they helped me get back on my feet before I left the building. They brought me out on a wheelchair and they even contacted my transportation for heading back home. Overall, I am very pleased.

I got vertical sleeve gastrectomy with Dr. Sedrak, it was the best decision I've ever made. So far in two months I have lost 85 lbs. Since my highest weight. Dr. Sedrak and his team were great, they were very attentive and have been following up with me regularly.
