I was seen quickly and I enjoyed seeing Dr. Mike. The fact that he goes by Dr. Mike is almost enough to let you know how down-to-Earth he is. On top of helping me out physically, he also made me laugh, which I appreciated.

Dr. Silverstein has been a chiropractor in the heart of the financial district for 28 years. He created a practice which has relived thousands of people of their day-to-day aches and pains. He is the one other chiropractors go to when their own backs hurt. Dr. Silverstein's private boutique-style studio is focused on the quality of each patient visit instead of quantity of patients seen. This personal attention allows each patient to begin treatment immediately upon arrival instead of waiting in a waiting room or treatment room for the next available therapist. The atmosphere is spa-like yet casual and welcoming- never clinical. The office has a full compliment of physiotherapy, including muscle stim, ultrasound, cold laser and much more. Three licensed and experienced massage therapists are on staff and all patients are invited to enjoy a full back massage each and every visit. The beautiful and well-appointed gym is ready for use with an on-staff trainer at no additional cost.

This was my first ever visit to a chiropractor and it did nothing to instill faith in a service I was already wary to try. Doctor apologized for his appearance (very casual Tshirt), citing the excuse that he was "12 minutes 'til vacation" (I was the last patient on a Friday before the holidays and thanks to trains was about 3 minutes late).
Our initial conversation to determine my medical history/concerns lasted one minute, tops. He then instructed me to lie face down on the table and attached a vibrating machine (no clue what it looked like) to my back and left me for 10 minutes. He then reappears wearing his "did I mention I'm going on vacation?" hat, instructs me to flip over, asks if I've ever been to a chiropractor (I had already told him it was my first time), and proceeds to suddenly crack my neck and back with no warning. Says "well, that's about it", walks out, returns 10 seconds later with an ipad for me to swipe my credit card and shakes my hand. When I ask him about my other concern he grabs a human spine model and gives me a rushed anatomy lesson and says we will address my other concern at my 'next visit'. For which I would again need to pay out of pocket. Apparently he mistook me for dumb AND rich.
As far as I can tell, he did not injure me further, but that's the best thing I can say about my visit. Oh, and no wait time!
Also, his jokes range from lame to obnoxious to condescending to clueless to passive aggressive. Fun!

Dr. Mike is the best at what he does, not only providing a killer adjustment, but keeping a beautiful office with a very knowledgeable staff. I am always seen right away, and the massages are my favorite part about lunch hour! Thanks, Doc!
