About Dr. Michael Weiner
Dr. Michael Weiner, DO, provides dedicated, focused, and experienced care to his patients, treating each as if they were his own family members. He is a board-certified physician on the team of talented providers at Virginia Family Medicine, offering compassionate care at the practice's location on Chain Bridge Road in Vienna, Virginia.
Dr. Weiner earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship in Family Medicine at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and his residency in Internal Medicine at Balboa Naval Hospital. Prior to joining Virginia Family Medicine, he served as a physician in the United States Navy for more than 20 years and also worked as a NASA Space Shuttle take-off and landing physician.
He is a proud member of the American College of Physicians and serves as an adjunct professor of health IT at George Washington University. Outside of medicine, Dr. Weiner enjoys hiking, sailing, running, and traveling.

This visit far exceeded my expectations - I had a medical issue arise on a Friday night that couldn't wait until Monday. On Saturday morning, I was able to find Dr. Weiner on Zocdoc, and he was able to conduct a telehealth visit a few hours later. He was probably one of the kindest, most compassionate, and most thorough health care providers I have seen in recent years, and was able to diagnose and help to treat my illness right away. He also encouraged follow-up to ensure I was making progress throughout the week. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to see Dr. Weiner again.
