Dr. Distefano is an amazing pediatric audiologist who knows how to get children to participate willingly in activities. my daughter was just 2 and she was patient and thorough. I definitely recommend her!

Dr. Michele DiStefano joined CHC in 2017 with expertise in pediatric audiology honed at Beth Israel Medical Center, Clarke Schools, and New York Eye and Ear. A graduate of the audiology program at CUNY-Brooklyn College, Dr DiStefano sees both adults and children with a focus on comprehensive diagnostic testing, fitting of amplification/FM systems, post-fitting counseling and Early Intervention. With her pediatric clients, Dr. DiStefano partners with the families to help them ensure their child achieves his or her goals. As an audiologist working with clients of all ages, her approach is to treat people exactly as she would want one of her own family members treated by a health care professional.

Michele has been my son's audiologist for a while, a relationship that started at her previous place of practice. I am very happy with her services. When my son was referred to her current practice for an auditory processing test, I reached out to the practice to schedule an appointment. I was pleasantly surprise to receive a phone call from her. She graciously explained to me how it would be very difficult to accurately test my son due to his current diagnosis, and suggested other options to us. I gladly switch his care to her current practice. She is patient, kind, and compassionate.

Ms. Di Stefano is not only a consummate professional, she is also thoughtful, caring and extremely responsive to her patient's needs and concerns. At the start of each visit, her question is always, "How can I be helpful to you today?" And then she LISTENS CAREFULLY to your reply and responds appropriately.
In sum, Ms. Di Stefano is a superb practitioner.

I have taken both my children to see MANY audiologists in NYC and there is no one who comes close to Michele DiStefano. She is terrific with patients, extremely professional, brilliant and exceptionally good at her job. She is innovative and always thinks outside the box to make things happen. Michele was able to create a unique hearing device for my son that did not exist. She contacted two manufacturers of two completely different parts of an FM device and was able to make them work together to come up with a hearing device that help my son both amplify his hearing and protect him from outside sound. I cannot praise her enough!

Michele is an incredible doctor and an all around lovely person. My daughter has seen her numerous times over the last few years and Michele is always intelligent, warm, kind and silly - the perfect combination for a young child and her neurotic mother.
Michele has an upbeat attitude and really takes her time at each appointment, answering questions and explaining things. I trust her judgment and her opinion, and she has played an integral part in helping us make decisions for our daughter’s care.
I recommend her to anyone I meet who needs an audiologist.
