Dr. Pro graduated with honors from medical school in 1971 at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, subsequently he went to Columbia University for his Ophthalmology training and then continued at Jefferson University for his Retina Fellowship. During his training he obtained licenses in the State of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania but he finally settled in Florida where he opened his private practice in 1979. Dr. Pro.became certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1977 In addition to his private practice; Dr. Pro became a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida and provided voluntary work at the Veterans Hospital of Tampa.
Since 1979 he has also dedicated part of his life to improve the Ophthalmological care in Peru, providing education, raising funds for donations, training local ophthalmologists and supporting underserved communities with over 10,000 ocular surgeries.
His practice philosophy is to take the time to get to know each patient and understand their visual needs and concerns. Then a thorough examination will lead to the best options for their eye health care, so that the patient can make an informed decision of what is best for their situation.
Dr. Pro is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Paul Harris Fellow, Past President of the Peruvian American Medical Society, Past President of PAMS for Peru, active member of the Peruvian Ophthalmological Society and the Peruvian Medical College. He enjoys swimming, yard work and is a sports enthusiast. His greatest joy has been watching his 3 sons grow up!

Dr. Pro-Landazuri, Was awesome. His bedside manners were excellent. It was my very first time seeing this doctor. I went to him because I exfoliated my face with Neutrogena face washand some of the tiny particles got into my right eye which caused redness,swallowing and a small tear. He immediately very patiently removed all the tiny particles in my right eye. I did not leave his office until he was completely satisfied and all particles were removed. He washed my eye completely and put antibiotic. Within one day my eye feels completely healed. He is an awesome eye doctor. I recommend him highly!!!!
