Dr. Patel was fantastic. I haven’t had great experiences with doctors in the past so I was nervous but she listened to all of my questions, she provided a lot of explanations, and she referred me to other doctors in the building when necessary. This wasn’t a visit I was looking forward to but Dr. Patel was by far the best doctor I’ve ever been to and I will absolutely continue to see her. Highly recommend.

Dr. Patel was super attentive to my concerns and my medical history. She was thorough in her examination and made sure I understood everything she was doing/ordering as part of my blood work. She has a sort of ease that makes the whole appointment feel positive and go smoothly.

Super nonchalant which almost could have mistaken it as uninterested? At times, she would speak over me but seemed pretty knowledgeable.

The only positive thing about the experience was she was able to follow through quickly on connecting me with a specialist. Outside of this, I found her to be unpersonable, with poor bedside manner, and somewhat condescending in the way she spoke to me. Just based on this I will not be meeting with her again and would not recommend her.
BUT I enjoyed my experience with the receptionist/office admins so I might just find a different doctor at UIC.

All of the staff members at UC Med were extremely friendly and made sure I had a pleasant experience and I appreciated all the CDC advised precautions that they had in place. Dr. Patel herself was very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like she really took the time to listen to my issues and was very thorough in her explanations of everything.
