Dr. Miriam Niktash was born and raised in Gaithersburg, MD and earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Niktash completed her 3-year surgical residency training at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in northern Virginia, one of the most prestigious podiatric surgical programs in the country.

I’m very happy I met Dr. Niktash; she gave me all the time I needed; she was detailed in her diagnosis and prognosis. She’s an excellent listener and very thorough. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Not pushy at all.
It’s not often, these days, when a patient can find the right doctor. I certainly did.
The office is quiet and clean. The staff was respectful and pleasant.
I recommend this practice for sure since it’ll be my go back to myself.

This was my first time using ZocDoc and it blew me away! I was connected to the doctor i requested on the app. The office called me for confirmation of my appointment. There wasn't a wait at all to be seen, once I checked in. The do tor was VERY nice and knowledgeable. She shared information with me that I didn't even think about asking. Truly a life saver. I'm looking forward to my follow up appointment and I know I'll be taken care of just the same way.

I’ve seen a number of podiatrists. All too often, podiatrists just try to give you some cortisone or sell you orthotics. Dr Niktash was by far the best at explaining my options for surgery. I finally have a path forward that I feel confident about.

Dr. Niktash is thorough, listens, very friendly, and I never feel rushed. It's great to have a doctor that is obviously passionate about what she does and cares about her patients. I was in pain for a long time prior to my first appointment; sometimes the pain kept me up at night. Now I'm feeling much better and well on the road to recovery. Love love this office, made me feel so welcomed and cared for. Very kind staff as soon as you walk in. Doctor is amazing ! If I could give this office more than a 5 star I would. I’ve had such a hard time looking for a doctor/office that fits my needs. This office was top notch. Gave me very detailed instructions and made sure I understood the information given as well as took the time to explain everything and made me feel like a priority. Highly recommend !

Everyone at Annandale Foot & Ankle were great, from front desk to Dr. Niktash. I had gotten the ingrown toenail procedure done at another doctor who belittled me & did not have good bedside manner. Dr Niktash took her time to explain everything. She has a very comforting, kind demeanor & seems to be able to put herself in her patients shoes. I was nervous about the shot & she let me know she understood my feelings as she had to have it done by classmates during med school. Unlike my previous provider, Dr. Niktash only gave me 1 shot while spraying it with cold spray the entire time. I barely experienced any pain. She addressed my concern that it was reoccurring so she used a chemical to prevent it from coming back.
Overall, it was a great experience. I was flabbergasted w/ how much better the process & care was that Dr. Niktash provided in comparison to the other podiatrist. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is experiencing ingrown toenail issues.
