Upon visiting the doctor's office for the 1st time on November 1st, the receptionist incorrectly had a Hoboken NJ address on file for me despite me filling out the zocdoc profile with my Jersey City NJ info. At the end of the examination, Dr. Miqbel mentioned it's possible to come into the Jersey City Journal Square office at 7am on Friday for a blood test and at that time the whole process shouldn't take too long. I asked if the office is super busy in the mornings and if I should make an appointment. Dr Miqbel kept assuring me the process doesn't take long and no appointment is necessary; just walk in and show up at anytime after 7am. The blood test would only be a few minutes. Unfortunately I believed him. I rode my bicycle from home back to his Journal Sq location, arrived at 7:05am only to wait a few minutes because the employee at the front desk didn't seem to be ready. He seemed to be booting up his computer. There were 2 others in the waiting room waiting to been seen. The front desk employee said it will be a few minutes as the girl doing the blood test has not arrived yet. 20 minutes later, I ask for a ballpark timeframe as to how long the entire process takes but the front desk employee could not articulate a clear answer. Although, interestingly he mentioned the office is open at 7:15 onf Fridays and 9am on Saturdays. Strange. I guess the doctor doesn't know his own office hours. 7:40am which is 35 minutes after I arrived, I informed the front desk employee I had to leave because I have to travel for work. I had to leave because the employee was unable to efficiently communicate any timeframe and who knows how long I would be there. I was hoping the doctor would call me to apologize for the inconvenience of me wasting my valuable time but unfortunately no call, no email and no contact. So now it's 4 days after the Nov 8 and I'm here to share my experience. Dr Miqubel seemed professional but my fears of him overpromising and under-delivering came true when I attempted to get blood work done. Sadly I need to find a new PCP.

Dr. Miqbel and his staff are amazing. They take extremely short time in performing all the vitals and record everything for the Doctor. Dr. Miqbel spends appropriate amount of time by explaining what he is going to do and what conditions he is aiming to correct in that visit. This is the best a patient can expect. Thanks

Dr. Miqbel is one of the best PCPs I've seen in a really long time. He was very friendly and made me feel welcome. He took his time with everything, listened to every concern / issue I had and was very thorough with his examinations. Right away, I was blown away by his bed side manner and professionalism. I couldn't have asked for a better consultation with him!
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the receptionists at the front desk. I was utterly disappointed. Unprofessional, extremely rude and self-centered individuals. Horrible customer service during check-in / check-out. Waited over an hour to be seen because of their constant clerical errors and insurance misinformation.
Dr. Miqbel's assistants / nurses, on the other hand, were very sweet and attentive. Plus the facility was very clean. Will definitely keep Dr. Miqbel around as my PCP!

Dr. Miqbel is a very professional doctor who really listens and truly tries to help.
I consider it a privilege to be his patient, having seen many other doctors prior, of which NONE can compare to the professionalism of Dr. Miqbel.
His skill to diagnose the problem and provide a perfect solution is unbelievable.
On top of it, he makes people comfortable, is friendly (but never familiar), and trustworthy.
What not to like? I only wish many more doctors were like him, alas...
