The doctor was competent and knowledgeable. The office is very modern and clean, but I've been trying to book a surgery for over a month. The last time I checked in, the receptionist informed me they had not even contacted the insurance company yet for authorisation...after 3 weeks. I couldn't help but feel they didn't care enough to even properly treat me so I have since found another doctor and was treated in one day.

He was kind (his office staff, much less kind), but didn't seem to know how to really help with the problem I came in for.

Why do we even make an appointment if we have to have another hour? If you don't want to waste your time, don't go here.

Good beside manner and helpful but I felt rushed and I had to wait over 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time.

It would have been a great visit had he actually been able to help me. I wasted time and money travelling there.

My only problem was wait time: 1.5 hrs!
Other than that my experience with Dr El-Dakkak was quite good.

This is the worst experience to any physician I have ever had. I arrived 10 minutes early and was greeted with an extremely loud and busy waiting room. I checked-in, and proceeded to wait over an hour to see Dr. Dakkak. His staff was extremely rude when I asked if I would be seen anytime soon. Definitely will not be returning!

Honestly, I think he should retire. When I gave him a disc with my MRI images on it to look at, he could not figure out how to open it on his new Mac computer and it took 2 other employees' help before they could figure it out.
After investing 2 years of visits, time, effort and money, and being diagnosed with my entire lumbar spine having bulging discs, the only thing he told me was to wear a support brace and not to do sports or lift heavy things. I am 34 and this is NOT an acceptable solution from a professional Dr.

Waste of time
The doctor gave me good advice BUT after made me wait for about an hour because he was on a photo shoot, yes, a photo shoot that interrupt my appt. And also, after all of that, when finally was my time, he answered a call in the middle of our chat.
Not professional

Old school doctor (I hope he never retires) who answered all of my questions and went over my X-Rays of chronic conditions (knees and lower back). Recommended exercises, supportive braces, and lastly meds. Physical exam was superlative (very meticulous). Look forward to seeing him in a month.

very skilled doctor and gave me good feed back

Always several hours late. Not very thorough or helpful in exams. Basically just only gives basic info, and facilitates requests that you need if you continuously push for it (referrals, authorizations, medication) otherwise its falls through the cracks

My visit to Dr. EL-Dakkak, MD was a pleasant experience, from the beginning of my arrival to interacting with the front desk receptionist, radiologist technician and also my initial consultation with Dr El-Dakkak everyone there treated me in a kind & professional manner.
I would highly recommend ZOCDOC to friends and relatives.

A really great professional; a very nice demeanor and gave as much time and attention as needed. The office is quality. The staff are superb too. Very helpful and friendly considering the stressful situations patients can be under. I absolutely recommend this Doctor!

Dr.El-Dakkak was wonderful, kind, attentive, and seemingly well informed. Waited for 1.5 hours... This seems to be a common denominator in many of the reviews. If you have time to kill, bring a book and wait it out. However as someone with not a lot of free time, waiting at doctors office isn't my ideal way to spend it.

I worked with Dr. El-Dakkak and watched not only how quickly his patients recovered but how gentle and kind he was in understanding each of them as individuals. So when I developed a problem with my knee he was the orthopedist I chose to handle y case.
He takes as much time as you need and explains everything at your level of understanding. His office is comfortable, he has X-ray facilities on site. Finally, all his staff are wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. El-Dakkak.

The doctor was personable and listened to my concerns although he didn't prescribe treatment.
I could have stayed home for the time I wasted on the roundtrip visit.
I was looking for a hands-on, interactive specialist, and he seemed only to humor me on my first visit.
My second/follow-up visit followed a similar path. I left without preventative care and had to request pain medication which might have factored into his care.

Dr. is a thorough and caring professional. He is conservative in his treatment and always has the patient's consideration above everything else. I've worked with him professionally and always found him to have the highest standards and delivery of quality.

I made an appointment for 3:25pm and when I got to the office I found out from the secretary that they are an hour behind!! I was waiting for an hour and 45 minutes for my appointment!! it was ridiculous and unacceptable! they should have at least call me and let me know that they were behind so I know not to waste my time waiting! I would never ever go there again!!!

Dr. El-Dakkak seemed knowledgable, has great bedside manner and his staff is very welcoming. There was short wait time, and i was notified that all payments be via cash or check. I have a follow up in a few weeks but overall they provided had a great first impression.

The visit was good as always. Using the Zoc Doc booking and "online check-in" helped things go smoothly. All I had to do was wait for my turn.

Dr. El-Dakkak was receptive and gentle. He spent ample time with me and answered all of my questions. There was some wait from my scheduled appointment time, approximately forty minutes. However, it was a fulfilling visit.

Very long wait, not much help.
June 19, 2013Initials hidden
The wait is really crazy. The waiting room is full to beyond capacity. I noticed a patient yelling because of the wait, at the receptionist. There is a sign stating there is wifi, but there is no password given for wifi. (Would have helped the over two hour wait to use that)
When I sat in the exam room, the receptionist walked in and was using the computer in there. Then she sprayed a lot of very stinky air freshener. I found it hard to breathe, and felt like she thought I smelled or something.
That said, the doctor is very sweet and nice. He really is. He shook my hand goodbye though, before I understood my treatment at home for a broken bone.
I have limited options due to my insurance. I do not look forward to returning for more waiting!
