Mohammed Elbash was born and raised in Queens, NewYork. He attended an Ivy League University where he graduated a member of the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society for his academic excellence.
He went on to attend medical school at Washington University School of Medicine, one of the premier medical centers in the United States. He performed his ophthalmology residency training at New York Medical College St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Queens, New York.

After graduating from ophthalmology training in July 2005, Dr. Elbash became a clinical instructor at his former residency program. Here, he trained numerous ophthalmology residents on how to perform cataract surgery using the latest surgical techniques. The residents that were trained by him honored him with an award for his valued dedication to resident education.
Dr. Elbash became Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in June of 2007. He scored 96th percentile on his board examination.
In August of 2007, Dr. Elbash relocated to Virginia to start his own ophthalmology practice. Premier Eye Center- Alexandria was founded in 2007. A satellite office in Herndon was opened in 2008.
In March 2008, Dr. Elbash traveled on a medical mission to Southeast Asia where he performed cataract surgery on indigent patients.
Dr. Elbash performs surgery at INOVA Fairfax and INOVA Alexandria Hospitals.

Dr. Elbash did cataract surgery on my mom with a great outcome. We had seen him for a second opinion because my mom had a large cataract which another doctor told her was high risk and likely to lead to complications. Dr. Elbash took care of it without my problem and now she is seeing great!
