“The office was clean and nice, the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a ton of insurance questions and they were very patient and helpful. The doctor guided me through everything with kindness and professionalism and explicitly set aside time for me to ask any questions I had. The contact fitting spot is in the main office, but that wasn’t a big deal since I’ve done that before, and it still felt pretty private. I’m very comfortable making this office my go-to optometrist.”

Dr. Rohini Mehta (B.S., O.D.) has been in practice for nearly a decade, working in various clinical settings across Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, New York City, and Washington DC, gaining a wealth of diverse experience. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York in Manhattan. Total rip off. After calling twice to the office to confirm that only a copay was needed for an exam for contacts and glasses and providing insurance information they then said my visit only covered glasses. Then they deflected blame to insurance when they didn’t properly look it up. Then it gets better. Before the exam they say it’s one price but at the end of the visit they add extra money for pictures that I didn’t ask for.
Do not go to this place they are deceptive and misleading to make a buck and I’ve been going to the eye doctor for 20 years and have never had this type of experience at an eye doctor in my lifetime.

I had a great experience at Visual Health Doctors of Optometry. The staff there were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure that I felt comfortable and at ease during my visit. The doctor was knowledgeable and professional and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I was impressed by the high level of care and attention to detail that they provided. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone in need of eye care services.

The office staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. Overall, I had a very positive experience, finding both the Dr. & optician to be very thorough and good listeners. I was looking for a very specific frame, and the optician took the time to work with me, never making me feel rushed.

Dr. Mehta was very conscientious and thorough. I opted to have my eyes dilated so she could do a comprehensive exam. This is an optional test but I was so appreciative that I chose to have it done as Dr. Mehta did find some early signs of macular degeneration and was very informative and helpful in explaining about that. Knowing a healthy diet can affect that and may prevent it from worsening to a degree, I was grateful for her attentiveness and the awareness of this. The tech who checked me in and assisted with some of the tests was very personable and friendly and a pleasure to meet. Overall a friendly comfortable office to meet your vision needs.

Dr. Mehta was not even working in the office!! Lured in by her reviews then seen by someone entirely different. I booked an appointment with Dr Mehta based on her reviews. I was seen by another lady that said she simply worked for Dr. Mehta. The staff was courteous and kind and the person that saw me was nice as well. I was just very disappointed by the deception. They should have told me or contacted me prior to let me know she didn’t work in that office.

Dr. Rohini and her staff were incredibly friendly, professional and down to earth. The doctor was thorough in her examination and helped resolve my issue, which was to help relieve my blurry vision with glasses that were only 6 months old. Started my medication to help heal the scratches she found from my constant contact wearing. Will be back next week to see the results!
