Monica is truly the consummate acupuncture professional.
She made sure I understood the why and how of the initial intake form, asked follow-up questions to ensure she fully understood my case, and continually checked-in to make sure I was comfortable and prepared. Her bedside manner was gentle and caring, and I barely felt the needle :) Finally, and most importantly, I felt a significant reduction in a number of symptoms, including joint pain throughout my body, and especially lower back pain.
Would highly recommend that anyone who, like me, feels frustrated with the shortcomings of more typical Western medicine practices see Monica ASAP!

I’m a licensed acupuncturist & board-certified herbalist. Prior to completing my Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) at Pacific College of Health & Science, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Dance at Wesleyan University. Studying both dance & poetics gave me a thorough appreciation for the nuance of the moving body, especially the coexistence of beauty & violence present in its living landscape.
Chinese Medicine is a deeply generous science. I think of it as peeling back the layers of sediment that have aggregated over the years to conceal (& sometimes protect, but no longer serve) our truest self. Chronic pain, emotional stagnation, digestive disruption all contribute to blurring the deepest stratum of ourselves. Fortunately, I am only interested in the most authentic version of you, & I cannot wait to meet them!
