Dr. Jay Gonchigar has been providing Maryland communities with comprehensive chronic pain management since 1996. He is the founder of Newbridge Spine & Pain Center, LLC, Newbridge Anesthesia, LLC, and was a founding member of Capital Area Pain Management Associates in 1999, one of the first freestanding pain management clinics in the area.
Dr. Gonchigar completed his Anesthesiology residency and fellowship in Pain Management at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA. He also briefly served as faculty at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, prior to moving to Maryland. Dr. Gonchigar is board certified in Anesthesiology and also subspecialty certified in Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is an active member of the American Pain Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. Dr. Gonchigar is the Chairman on the Board of Anesthesia at Civista Medical Center. He is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and canoeing.
