Dr. Ngare is Board Certified in Family Medicine and joined the Click It Clinic Team after moving to Houston from Pittsburgh, PA where she has practiced for five years. She is DOT certified.
After earning her Medical Degree from the University of Nairobi College of Health Sciences, she immigrated to the United States and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Pittsburgh McKeesport Family Medicine Program. During her Residency she was awarded the Latterman Family Health Center award for exemplifying outstanding teamwork and patient advocacy and was Chief Resident in her final year.
In Pittsburgh her experience was split between practicing at the Hilltop Community Health Center, a federally qualified health care facility, meeting the complex health care needs of the surrounding underserved community. She has also done Urgent care and Occupational Health in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
Beyond treating disease, Dr. Ngare’s passion is to form close partnerships with her patients to promote individualized plans of care that address their unique health challenges. She seeks to encourage and promote healthy lifestyles in her patients. She also has a keen interest in all things ‘mom and baby’ believing that as much as possible, a healthy person starts from a family with a healthy Mom (and Dad).
Dr. Ngare is married with a beautiful daughter. She enjoys dancing and playing with her little one, cooking, gardening, reading and traveling.
