I went to Dr. Samotin after I blow out my knee (patella dislocation). My appointments at Dr. Samotins’ were always quick and easy, never any delays. His staff was always very nice and helpful. Dr. Samotin always answered all my questions and gave me great advice for my recovery. I hope I never have to see Dr. Samotin again, but if I do get injuried again I will for sure go back to him.

Dr. Myles Samotin is a well-respected and professional Orthopaedic surgeon with over 17 years of experience. Myles Samotin was educated in New York. Dr. Samotin was awarded his Medical Doctor degree in May of 1988 from the State University of New York, Brooklyn. After obtaining his MD, Myles attended Maimonides Medical Center and Affiliated Institutions. His tenure was from July 1988 – June of 1990 in which he completed a residency in General surgery.
Dr. Samotin was accepted by The Hospital for Joint Disease: Orthopaedic Institute of New York as a fellow in Foot and Ankle Surgery in August of 1996. He completed his fellowship in July of 1997.
Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Myles Samotin established his own practice, Samotin Orthopedics in Naples, Florida. Samotin Orthopedics has thrived and survived in Naples. Samotin Orthopaedics is affiliated with Naples Community Hospital as well as several outpatient surgery centers.

I did not have a good experience at this office.
The first person I was actually seen by was the x-ray technician who was the only redeeming factor about this office. A very nice guy who made small talk and empathized with my sports injury.
The physician assistant's bedside manner was very poor and set a bad tone for the rest of the visit which was disappointing. He treated me like I could not measure my own level of pain and had never played a sport in my life when explaining the injury - when in fact, I was a college athlete. His bedside manner was very poor and I was not happy with my interaction with him.
My interaction with Dr. Samotin did not happen until about 50 minutes after arriving at the office. I saw him for a total of 4 minutes before being ushered out and put in a brace.
Fun thing about this brace was that they tried to charge me an very overpriced rate for it. I have been in this sort of brace before and am semi-familiar with the cost. I was able to get it on an upgraded version of the exact same brand on Amazon for 80% less than they tried to charge me. Talk about a markup.
This all being said I will not be going back and I will not recommend this to anyone.

My experience with the doctor went very good. He xrayed my knee then sent me for a mri and scheduled surgery within 2 weeks. He also set up physical therapy right away which helped tremendously. I am very pleased with my experience and will go back if needed in the future. He is a very caring Doctor.

It was my first visit to Dr. Samotin and I was thoroughly impressed. His darling receptionist was so sweet. Filling the forms in on line was a great idea. His PA was a little reserved and not too friendly; all business, but nice. His x-ray tech was such a nice guy and super friendly. He had wonderful things to say about working with Dr. Samotin for 18 years. Dr. Samotin was friendly, knowledgeable and straightforward in his diagnosis. He didn't jump into doing surgery but had me try a foot pad for a month and then make my decision. I am making an appointment for my husband to see him next. I am already giving him rave referrals.
