More about Dr. Nadia Hesham, MD
Dr. Hesham earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in biochemisty and biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Dr. Hesham completed her residency training in ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center where she was elected chief resident by her peers and faculty.
Dr. Hesham’s areas of expertise include cataract surgery, glaucoma (medical and surgical), and medical retina.
Dr. Hesham has presented research at multiple national conferences, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). She won the Robert Reinecke research award, and her work has been accepted for publication in Cornea, The Journal of Cornea and Refractive Disease. She is currently involved in research projects at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Hesham recently moved to Colorado from upstate New York with her husband. She enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband are looking forward to taking advantage of what Colorado has to offer.
