Dr. Nancy Hagener is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Psychologist Examiners. She is a member of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Hagener holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Phoenix, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Phoenix, and a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, also from Argosy University, Phoenix. She completed her residency in in Clinical Psychology with the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System, in Reno, Nevada.
Dr. Hagener’s theoretical approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help patients effectively address personal life challenges and unexpected hardships. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices to offer a personalized approach tailored to each patient. She has extensive clinical and supervision experience in community and hospital based psychology. She has been a guest speaker for those facing chronic health conditions, offering strategies to build confidence in managing chronic illness and symptoms.
Dr. Hagener now brings her expertise to Bayless, as part of a multidisciplinary team, in treating the outpatient population.
Dr. Hagener has a limted schedule for new clients. Jodi Erickson, LCSW and/or Debbie Johnson, LPC, will be able to provide services on days that Dr. Hagener is not available.
Ms. Erickson is also able to provide services to children under Dr. Hagener's supervision.
Ms. Erickson currently accepts AHCCCS, Mercy Care LTC, and Optum.
Ms. Johnson currently accepts Managed Health Net and Optum.
