Dr. Nancy Krywonis was born in raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from The University of Manitoba medical school in 1984. In Winnipeg she completed her internship and a year of internal medicine. In 1986 , she moved to Minneapolis to begin her dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota. After graduating, she stayed in Minneapolis initially as an associate professor at the Veterans' Administration Medical Center and then subsequently in private practice in Wayzata. She and her family re-located to Denver in 2005. She is an avid gardener, loves the mountains and looks for any opportunity to improve her skiing.
