“I just met with a dermatologist Milton Schleve, MD. at my outpatient appointment, and your observation regarding the purpura was spot on (pun intended). It is believed to have been a reaction to medication and surgery, with no concern for autoimmune issues or other causes/forms of purpura since I do not present with those symptoms.
The dermatologist explained that it should gradually resolve over time, and we may simply use a topical cream to help reduce the inflammation. The doctor also clarified that the fluid buildup and swelling causing the tightness in my ankles and knees — which has been limiting my walking — was related to the lymphatic system and blood vessels draining fluid as a result of the purpura.
Again, thank you so much for your expertise!!!”

I would not go back. Because there was not a fair warning of the charges. The billed my in the office and I assumed that was the full amount. However, 2 weeks after the appointment they send me a bill for an additional cost. I called to clarify and get them to explain, they just claimed that this was the full amount and the receptionist made a mistake. Personally I think this is some sort of violation of laws to prevent surprise billings and if I had the time I would pursue it. I called them and they claimed they would adjust this to be paid in full, only two weeks later to receive the bill again.
The second reason is for charge the doctor spent less than 5 minutes with me. He did not really listen to my concerns or ask me any questions or seek to understand. I went to him because my GP said a dermotologist would be able to examine my skin under a microscope to determine the type of parasites I was dealing with. He was dissmissive and unhelpful.

The doctor was amazing. I really appreciate his whole demeanor and responses to my concerns.
The office staff is horrible. And the insurance and pricing questions could not be answered. Not sure if it’s dermatology specific but at the PCP, OB, dentist, eye doctor they tell you the prices of everything prior so you’re not surprised about the bill amount.
This office staff couldn’t answer anything or weren’t helpful in anyway. I wish the doctor was independent practice because I would see him again. But I don’t want to support this corporate company based on the office experience I had today.
