Nandan Shah, MD, FAAOS, is a fellowship-trained and board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in all aspects of spine surgery. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois. Dr. Shah focuses on minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as the use of tubular retractors and robotic-assisted spinal surgery, to reduce incision size and surgical trauma. He offers fusion-sparing procedures like disc arthroplasty or replacement. Additionally, Dr. Shah performs complex revision and reconstructive spine surgeries for degenerative scoliosis, congenital or acquired deformities, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, and spinal trauma.
His goal is to help patients experience less pain and increase their activity levels with minimal downtime after surgery. While surgical care is a primary focus of his practice, Dr. Shah encourages all patients to exhaust conservative treatment options before considering surgery. He also has extensive expertise in treating orthopedic trauma patients and has performed hundreds of hip and knee joint replacements.

Very clean and neat office. Staff are very friendly. Doc Nandan Shah was very clear in communication so anyone could understand what he meant. He could diagnose my leg pain symptoms very accurately.
