Overall I had a great experience with Dr Kanen. I arrived early to my appointment and had to fill out a ton of forms, refilling out many of the questions I had already filled out in the online forms. The overall appointment went well, I felt Dr. Kanen listened to my concerns and took steps to address them. I came in a few days later for blood work and fainted, which surprised me as much as the woman drawing it. The staff took really great care of me after that and I appreciate it.

This office is a nightmare. I waited a very long time and was told the annual physical I booked was actually just a “meet and greet” with the doctor. They also charge a suspicious 50$ appointment reservation fee outside of insurance. The doctor herself was lovely, but rushed and very late. They said there was an emergency that day. Either way, the office was terrible to deal with. They also don’t do bloodwork on site so I have to go somewhere else anyways. It was a huge waste of money and time.

Dr. K is very kind and compassionate. Her support staff is wonderful too. The only down side was a longer wait than expected (total visit time 2 hours in/out) but I also saw she was very busy so I completely understand.

I came in with a condition that I was recently diagnosed with & the actual doctor took maybe 5 min to talk to me & didnt even address my concerns. I had a much longer convo with the nurse then with her. I actually looked up the Yelp reviews & another person had a similar experience. Not recommending this doctor & not going bsck.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Kanen for a consultation - to see if she would be suitable for a new Primary Care Physician for me. The PCP of 35 years, sadly, is retiring, so it's necessary to find a new one.
The staff and person who interviewed me prior to seeing Dr. Kanen were very nice however when Dr. Kanen finally came in to meet me an hour later; the problem I had was 'communication'. Dr. Kanen is probably lovely, but due to her thick accent I could barely understand what she was saying. Clear communication is important to me between me and a PCP! Before I knew what was happening, 2 blood tests were ordered for me by Dr. Kanen; tests that I had relatively recently and my current Dr. was not concerned about them.
So, I'm going to continue my search.

I like Dr. Kanan a lot. She has a lot of patients, and it can get pretty piled up, so things often run late. But she is really great and takes time with each person.

Am very unhappy with this office. I was lulled into thinking my visits were excellent during the time, but their true nature is showing now. I've received both bills THREE months after each visit to the wrong address, I'm lucky I have family members still living there. I've been trying to safely provide payment for 5 months now and they won't respond to me by any contact method. I don't feel secure about this office at all, will not be going back.

Previous frustrated patients with One Medical Group, extremely happy we were referred Dr. Kanen Office. Our experience with P.A. Anne Straine was amazing. Very personable, listens and guides you to right path of a healthy lifestyle. Staff is friendly and efficient. Great plus is the ZocDoc app, patients can schedule/cancel appts.

She takes on quite a bit. Always busy at her practice but they are working really hard to get everyone through. When she finally sees me I always feel like she is paying attention and cares. I know how hard it must be to manage so many patients but she does a great job. Of course in this rat race world, you will never make everyone happy.

Dr. Kanen is amazing. She cares, is compassionate, and is extremely, extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Kanen really takes the time to listen to a patient and come up with a very intelligent approach-it is evident from the beginning that she deeply cares about every patient of hers and wants the best for them. Beyond an incredible bedside manner, she really is the sharpest, most intelligent Doctor in her field. I absolutely give the strongest recommendation for Dr. Kanen.

The wait time at Dr Kanen's office has always been > 45mins with appointments. The staff does not answer any questions and completely ignored me for 15 mins while I waited at the window. Dr Kanen gave me a printed copy with the medication listed but did not send a prescription to the pharmacy, took me 2 more phone calls to the office to get it resolved.

The best physician for substance abuse!!
I also suffer from an eating disorder, and I feel her compassion and empathy has made direct progress towards my recovery! Can't recommend enough.

The doctor is amazing, the office was somewhat clean. You could tell the staff was not going through the waiting room on a regular basis by the old papers on the wall that displayed events over a month old. Not impressed with the way the office is ran have had my time wasted more than have been helped. Seems to take numerous attempts to get anything accomplished unless you physically go into the office and speak to someone. Even when doing this (another time killer) things do not always get worked out. It is a pity since Dr. Kanen is an amazing professional that she is being represented in this manner.
