I interacted with Dr. Sukon and two other employees at her office and had an exceptional experience with everyone. I was seen right away and the woman conducting my initial exam and vitals was very friendly and efficient. Dr. Sukon spent a lot of time with me and was patient and thorough with my questions. She took time to listen and soothe my concerns by making sure I knew exactly what was going on with my eyes and how the treatment recommended would work. Finally, the woman who helped me select glasses was very fun and supportive to work with. I had never selected glasses before and she spent time helping me choose and provided very helpful feedback. She made the experience fun! Thank you Dr. Sukon and staff! Please continue to keep up the amazing work and welcoming environment!

Dr. Sukontasup was very knowledgeable and informative. She conducted a very thorough eye exam and gave me insights about eye health. The final part of the exam involved eye dilation for checking eye health. While waiting for the dilation to occur, she handed me over to a glasses consultant to talk about getting progressives or computer vision glasses. I was then given a hard sell approach for choosing glasses, lenses, etc. and provided with a price quote for all upgrades. It was disconcerting as during the entire sales pitch I was struggling to see clearly given the eye drops. I wanted an eye exam and would have preferred to be offered the opportunity to buy glasses, not have it thrust upon me.

Dr. Natalie Sukontasup (Sue-con-ta-sup) is also affectionately known as Dr. Sukon. Dr. Sukon is originally from Long Island, New York and moved to Ellicott City, Maryland in 2003. Dr. Sukon graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1998 with a B.S. in Pharmacological Science. She earned a Doctor of Optometry Degree at the State University of New York in Manhattan in 2003. Dr. Sukon has served the residents of Howard County and its surrounding community for over 9 years.
Dr. Sukon provides adult and pediatric comprehensive vision exams. She is therapeutically licensed to diagnose and treat eye disease, acute red eyes and dry eye syndrome. She also co-manages with surgical specialists in the treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disease, and LASIKS. Dr. Sukon specializes in challenging contact lens fits such as medically necessary contact lenses (post corneal transplants/Kerataconus), bifocal contact lenses and rigid gas permeable lenses.
Dr. Sukon lives in Ellicott City, Maryland, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. As a travel enthusiast she plans to combine her love for traveling with providing eye care to the underserved population around the world.

Dr. Natalie was super professional and thorough. One of her assistants who was in the front desk for making glasses did not seem to have enough knowledge of the computer system applied in the office.

Prompt and friendly service. I felt it was somewhat unusual that Natalie stopped my eye exam and speak with one of her clerical staff regarding pricing of evaluation for contacts, but I suppose the pricing varies based on insurance?

Dr. Sukon was previously practicing at a different location and practice. While I a patient at this different practice I was notified that she had left. No explanation as to why. Several months went by, then i had heard she started her own practice. I immediately start searching for her. As soon as I found her i moved all my files from the previous practice to her. Dr. Sukon is Excellent in all aspects of her profession. I highly recommend her and staff to all my family and friends. Her practice treats you like family.

The office looked very well maintained and appealing when you first walked in. The receptionist was very professional.
The outside of the building was very nice. If you looking for name brand glasses, this is the place to go, but if you are looking for glasses that are cheap, well you might want to go to another place. But my insurance works very well with this place so I am paying alot for my glasses but my insurance covers a big chunk of it. The only downfall I would say is they don't have a very wide selection of glasses to choose from.

I had a great experience with Dr. Sukontasup and the First Sight Vision Care office. I was seen immediately. I felt completely at ease throughout my appointment. I appreciated that Dr. Sukontasup asked specific questions outside of the general ones and made recommendations based on my answers. The rest of the office was very personable as well. I will be coming back and I highly recommend her to others.
