Dr. Neda Mehr is a Board Certified Dermatologist who has been in practice in Newport Beach and on staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital. She attended the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine where she served as President of her UC Irvine Medical School. Dr. Mehr completed her Dermatology Residency in Southern California at Loma Linda University, where she also served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. Dr. Mehr is a very compassionate and caring dermatologist who is adored by her patients.

Dr. Mehr is great, but she's only there once a week. Her PAs treat you. She used to have an amazing girl named Sara, but she left and her replacements are not that great.

Not professional, first of all. I went there 6 months ago for vilitigo on my hands, the non-healing wounds at the back of my ear which was at the super beginning stage, and some kind of reaction on my genital organ. The wound at the back of my ear is NEVER prescribed with a cream or medicine except that she sprayed it with a cortisol spray and it now turned into a huge ugly shaped scar with bacteria on it and it is like never healing. Other than that, she had a trainee next to her, and the doc never asked me if her presence is okay during the consultation. I didn't feel comfortable being treated like a showcase for the trainee. I was showing the reaction on my genital organ and she was not even giving attention to what it is rather than showing/teaching her trainee. All my symptoms got worse though I treated them with the prescription she provided and ofcourse I will not go there for a follow up.
I think this is a general problem of the doctors and dermatologists in USA though. Though they are educated, I find them very insufficient in practical and worst quite money hungry which means they actually rather not treat you perfect at the first consultation and assign you follow ups to make sure they get your money.

This site won't let me say how much but it was way toooooo much that I spent. This has nothing to do with my insurance. Insurance rarely covers anything special anyway. Plus now I have a new scar from a forced biopsy. Doc insisted to biopsy a mole on my back when I was there for breakouts on my face. She insisted that acne, which she did not say I have, is a topical issue. I'm not a dermatologist but I have heard from plenty and skin issues are generally a combination of problems. She just wanted me to use certain products that made my skin worse and my bank account less. Don't go here unless you want to be led down an expensive classic OC derm regimen.

Couldn't be happier with this Doctor! She genuinely cares about getting to the core of the issue, as well as treating the symptoms. She was incredibly thorough, took lots of time to fully explain my treatment plan, and has a lot of firsthand experience that showed through in her empathy to my problem as well as what she suggested I use product-wise. I feel I am in good hands and will finally get well after 2 months of ineffective treatment! She also saw me, a new patient, same-day! And her assistant went above and beyond to make sure I got my prescription as soon as possible! THANK YOU!
