About Dr. Nikki Tang
Dr. Tang is a board certified and fellowship trained dermatologist who grew up in Southern California. She attended Brown University in Rhode Island for her undergraduate studies in Sociology and Brown's Warren Alpert School of Medicine as a graduate of the Program in Liberal Medical Education, an eight-year combined baccalaureate-MD course of study.
She completed her dermatology residency in New York City at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel-St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, including specialty training in treating skin of color. After residency, she finished an intensive 1-year fellowship program in Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction at Mt. Sinai and was invited to be a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
After her training was completed, Dr. Tang joined the faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she was appointed Director of the Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Unit. Dr. Tang was also the Assistant Program Director for the Dermatology Residency Program, where she was responsible for mentoring and teaching dermatology physician-trainees.
Additionally, Dr. Tang has been active in research and academic medicine, authoring multiple journal articles, winning a large digital technology DELTA grant to improve dermatology education, writing book chapters and speaking at several national medical conferences.

Dr. Nikki Tang is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She takes her time to explain her thoughts and diagnosis while assuring the patient. She actually makes eye contact while talking to you and makes sure you understand everything! Her laser and razor skills are quick and adept as my fibroma removal is healing nicely. I would strongly recommend her!
