Dr. Neil Crittenden was born and raised in Oklahoma City. After attending medical school at the University of Oklahoma, he completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Louisville. While at the University of Louisville he developed advanced skills in treating patients with intestinal, liver and nutritional disorders. He has particular interests in colon cancer risk assessment and prevention from his advanced training in colonoscopy and endoscopic mucosal resection of colon polyps. Additional specialties include diagnosing and treating indigestion, swallowing difficulty, heart burn, acid reflux, bloating, abdominal pain, Crohn’s Disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, inherited genetic cancer syndromes, liver disease including cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis B and C viral infections. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on the treatment of liver disease, including alcohol hepatitis and hepatitis C.
