Best "initial visit" doctor's experience I've ever had. Went in, filled out paperwork which took 5 minutes then was immediately taken back to have my weight/BP taken. 5 minutes later the doctor was in and answered all of my questions and gave his diagnosis/suggestions. Left there feeling like an actual human being and a valued patient rather than just another number. I have a clear understanding of the next treatment steps. Would highly recommend to anyone

Dr. Nelson H. Lim's clinical expertise includes esophageal and stomach disease/functions, gastrointestinal bleed, gastrointestinal cancer, and colon cancer screening. He is fellowship trained in gastrointestinal procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, high-resolution esophageal manometry, flexible sigmoidoscopy, therapeutic ERCP, and Spyglass Choledochoscopy. He continues his status as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at LLU School of Medicine and has multiple publications in national medical journals such as the American Journal of Gastroenterology as well as having presented at major national gastroenterology conferences. He was recently honored in January 2010 with ‘The Golden Thread Award’ at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Dr. Lim was the first gastroenterologist who has garnered this award, which recognizes physicians who provide ‘radical loving care’ and dedication to patients. He is board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.

The experience was 'ok' so far, and maybe that will change.
The 'assistants' that started the appointment seemed kind enough and answered my questions. I saw Dr. Lim for about 2 minutes and it seemed like he was trying to get out of the room the entire time, like he had somewhere else to be. I was hoping for some further input on the symptoms I was experiencing other than "we'll get you scheduled for a colonoscopy, sound good?". It was a very 'generic' appointment, and did not feel personal at all. If I didn't ask questions, I don't think much information would have been offered. I will probably follow through with the procedure but I hope things improve from here.

Wow is all I can say. Dr Lim is one of the best doctors I have ever seen and I have seen many. He was extremely patient and took the time to really understand the problems I was having and the concerns. He really cares for his patients and ensures that you are comfortable with everything. Dr Lim has a great laid back manner and listens, unlike other doctors who spend 1/2 the time in the room pecking away on a tablet, which drives me nuts.

Was a little difficult to locate the office. When I tried to call in to get directions, I had to wait for the automated response system to go through all options before it said "Press 7 to get directions"; that should be the first option so patients don't have to keep driving in circles looking for it. Even better to let us talk to a real person quicker. Other than that, I still had to fill out in-patient forms even though I provided this information through Zoc Doc. None of my medical history made it to their system. So I had to fill out 6 pages of stuff before I could be seen.
