As a black female patient in the past I haven’t been treated fairly by some Specialists. When my Internist retired in 2019, I cried so hard, he began to cry with me. Him retiring, meant I had to put my self out there and subject myself to the possibility of racism, prejudices, and biases.
Dr. Satterfield was so patient, kind, understanding, empathetic, knowledgeable, gentle, warm, friendly, compassionate, and relatable! If I could give this woman 100 stars, I would! Out of all the great characteristics she possess, her best trait to me was her innate ability to see me as a woman and not as a woman of color! She’s the greatest!

**We require a 24-hour cancellation notice for all scheduled appointments. Failure to provide a 24-hour notice will result in a $50.00 missed appointment fee.

Dr. Satterfield grew up in Colorado and received a B.S from Colorado State University. She moved to North Carolina after college and attended the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Duke University Hospital. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, contraception, adolescent gynecology, and high and low risk obstetric care. She is fluent in Spanish. Outside of work she enjoys spending time at the beach and in the NC mountains with her family.

The staff is very kind and welcoming from the start. I felt comfortable at all times and was walked through each step. The visit felt quick and easy. I left my appointment feeling relieved that I went here. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Satterfield!
