I had a bald spot show up on my head almost overnight. Thanks to Zocdoc I was able to go online and schedule an appointment within 48 hours with Dr. Snavely. I have since had my second appointment, after beginning prescribed medication. Although my bald spot is no smaller, I was able to get Dr. Snavely's medical advice, and new opinion, that my hair follicles are showing signs of recovery. That has been a tremendous relief. I am completely satisfied with his care, remaining grateful for the immediate attention he gave me. Hopefully I can show some before and after pictures soon

Dr. Snavely started his higher education at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, graduating Cum Laude
He earned his Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine, located in Houston, Texas in 2006
He completed a Dermatology Residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident in 2010
He also completed an Advanced Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, under accomplished Surgeons Dr. Neil Swanson, M.D, and Dr. Anna Bar, M.D
Dr. Snavely is a proud Member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatological Surgery, American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Medical Association
Growing up in Avon, Ohio, about 20 minutes west of Cleveland, Dr Snavely spent a good deal of his leisure time participating in sports – especially basketball. Now, he loves living in Austin and is thrilled to have the opportunity to be able come back to this vibrant part of the Country and participate in serving Central Texas. Dr. Snavely enjoys jogging, cooking, reading, and he still attempts to play basketball.

Dr. Snavely has just the right amount of professionalism and charm. He treats you with respect, doesn't rush you, and offers choices based on researched outcomes. Appointments are extremely simple online. That's the type of medical doctor and practice I prefer. It certainly takes the stress out of being in a medical setting.

He made me feel very at ease considering I had to get my first biopsy of a mole. He is also first dermatologist that gave me a complete and thorough skin check exam. Most just ask me what areas to check but he check all over. Everyone was very professional and wonderful.

Doctor's attitude was really cocky. His answers to my problems were mostly shrug and "nothing can be done" (even if nothing really could be done with the problem, something should be done with his attitude and bedside manner). He gave me a print out about my condition from Wikipedia!

Friendly office staff. Great care from Dr. Snavely with a variety of options for treatment. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of the options and what is covered by insurance, etc... He listened and asked questions. Would definitely recommend.

I can honestly say that I loved going to see Dr. Snavely! He listened to my concerns and was even willing to try something different based on my needs. Really what more can you ask for from a doctor? Oh he's super friendly too!! I will be happy to go see him again for all my skin issues!

I was highly impressed with Dr. Snavely's interaction with my 5 years old during his appointment. He talked to my son directly most of the time and it made my son feel like a big boy. He's great if your looking for a dermatologist for your kiddo. His staff was the sweetest! Offered snacks, drinks, & a private room with to, wifi, & cozy blankets.
