Hello, my first visit with nicole and her team was better than I could have hoped for! was greeted promptly by Alex at the front desk paper work was minimal as i requested. the nurse and nicole were very professional and delivered service in a polite and prompt manner while still accomidating my long list of needs. My appointment was made the same day and i was very pleased with that accomidation.

Please note that when making an appointment and you are a NEW PATIENT, we will need you to arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to get you registered and ready for the doctor. Dr. Nicole Thrift is a primary care doctor treating patients in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the surrounding communities. Her primary goal as a practitioner is to ensure that each of her patients receives the highest available standard of medical care. She holds certification from the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Thrift is also a member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the National Osteopathic Women Physicians Association.
For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Thrift attended LeTourneau University, graduating summa cum laude. She pursued her medical degree at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. Dr. Thrift continued her medical education at the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. Here, she completed an internship program and received her residency training in internal medicine.

Dr. Thrift was okay. She was pleasant but I felt a bit rushed and she was reserved. I went in for my physical and was asked how I was feeling. I mentioned something that had been bothering me and asked for a refill of a prescription. She gave me the prescription but told me there wasn't time during the appointment for my physical to explore what I had brought up. She told me I could book another appointment. Meanwhile, I was billed later for getting treatment (the prescription) during my annual free physical. There seem to be some disconnects with the office as I was not told before hand that I should fast since they offer in office blood draw so I had to go back at another time. (They called to confirm the appointment but didn't tell me about fasting.) I may have gone back to Dr. Thrift because I appreciated that there was no wait, but the administration experience (not told about the blood draw and charges) was a turn off.

Maybe it is just me, however, I feel like going to see a Primary Doctor is a waste of time. She was really kind, however, talked to me really soft like I was a child. I made sure to send a list of EVERYTHING I wanted to discuss just incase I forgot to mention it while there since it can be overwhelming to remember everything.. And she still ignored to talk about it. Other getting my blood drawn it was kind of a waste of time since she just recommended me to go to a specialized doctor anyways. I had to log onto her webpage to find out my results instead of getting a call to see. Just felt unpersonalized..

Very professional and cheerful office staff (I dealt with 3 of them on this visit). I think the doctor was sufficient; her bedside manner would improve if she listened more and didn't counsel so much about obvious health knowledge. The online patient portal that they have is great.

A little hard to find her office. She has business cards but doesn't yet have her name on the door. Nor was there a suite number visible from the office exterior. Finally, Alex, the receptionist, took pity on me hobbling around outside the building and asked if I was Gary. Office found!. Dr.Thrift was prepared for my visit and was knowledgeable on my issue -- gout. But at this point in her career, she is better at talking than listening. She doesn't make good eye contract and begins answering questions before fully asked. Answers are sing-song, as though being recited. A thoughtful, well-considered response inspires more confidence. Still, she is a valuable medical resource for me. I plan to continue the relationship when in Arizona..
