Nikesh Patel, MD is dermatologist at Mount Sinai Roosevelt. Prior to joining Mount Sinai's team, Dr. Patel completed his dermatology residency training at the ACGME accredited program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. There he was exposed to a wide range of skin conditions and presented numerous cases at the annual American Academy of Dermatology meeting.
Dr. Patel served as chief resident in his final year and was tasked with the responsibility of organizing the teaching curriculum for the lower year residents.
Prior to residency, Dr. Patel completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina where he had been offered the James B. Edwards scholarship, a rarely offered full academic scholarship. His academic excellence continued during medical school and he earned acceptance into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society during his third year, an honor awarded to only the top tier of medical students.
Dr. Patel is currently seeing new patients and is skilled in the treatment of all skin conditions in patients of all ages and practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
