Dr. Nilima Parekhji is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her extensive training includes one year internship in OB-GYN at Queens General Hospital, Long Island Jewish Hillside affiliate in New York, three years residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Case Western Reserve University after completing five and one-half years of medical school and three years residency in OB-GYN at Bombay University, in India. Dr. Parekhji very strongly believes in patient participation involving medical care. She takes pride in educating patients regarding their normal body functions and problems relating to abnormal functions. Dr. Parekhji has a special expertise in managing complicated high-risk pregnancies and Infertility. In 1996, Dr. Parekhji graduated from Santa Clara University as an Attorney at Law and has passed the California Bar. Additionally she speaks many Indian languages.

I had my PCOD !! I am obese !!
She told me to loose weight then come see her !! Of course I understand her concern as a doctor towards me to loose weight !! But I have seen non-obese people also having PCOD !! So I didn't feel that was the only solution !!
She just gave me a medicine to get my periods that month and told this
She was not my kind of Doctor !! I am a patient who wants to be sure what medications I am into !! Her answers were sharp but not satisfactory !! And she gave me no hope of recovery !!

Dr. Parekhji was competent and seemed knowledgeable. However, she was dismissive and belittling regarding my desire for a female technician to administer an intrusive transvaginal sonogram. As a female gynecologist, one would expect understanding and familiarity with persons who are more comfortable with persons of the same sex to conduct such intrusive examinations.

Dr. Parekhji and MA (debbie/Diane?)were awesome and very professional. Front desk staff were not professional, nor helpful, and we're complaining about other staff.

She has a formula for fertility that has worked for a very long time and I hope it's something that will work for me. Be patient though as she's old fashion and wants things done a very specific way so make sure to follow her instructions exactly.
