Dr. Gupta attended Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where she was part of the Honors Program in Medical Education. After receiving her bachelor’s and medical degrees from Northwestern University, she completed a medical internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago. In her final year of residency, she was honored to serve as Chief Resident and was recognized by the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science for her excellence in patient care. She then completed a fellowship in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and anterior segment pathology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. Throughout her training she participated in various research activities and has had the opportunity to publish and present her work at regional and national conferences.
Dr. Gupta practices general ophthalmology by balancing the medical and surgical management of routine and complex cataracts. She also provides a subspecialty focus for glaucoma patients with procedures such as in-office laser treatments, glaucoma surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, including stents.

Dr. Gupta was extremely kind, professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable during my first visit. It was the first time in my life I have had an issue with my eye and she answered all my questions and got me out of the office quickly. She also called me in at exactly 10:30, which was my scheduled time which is rare for doctors in New York, or anywhere. Would happily to refer and recommend to anyone!

Dr. Gupta is fantastic! I was really scared when I was first diagnosed with glaucoma but Dr. Gupta really made me feel comfortable with everything. She explained the disease to me, told me my options, and together we came up with a plan to best manage my disease. I felt like I was in control of my own health.
