I am a medical psychiatrist and psychotherapist specializing in both psychopharmacology and therapy. I am also a proponent of lifestyle modification and harm reduction via diet and exercise. I turn to what evidence and science recommends, and provide my patients with personalized treatment plans based on their preferences along with my clinical assessment of what can benefit them the most.
I apply the biopsychosocial model in my therapeutic work with my patients and view each patient as a multidimensional human being. I thus focus on designing a unique and tailored plan for each of my patients. The forefront of my treatment method is attunement to interactions between the body and mind to understand the complexities of a physical, conscious, and emotional existence.
I have expertise in treating an array of psychiatric conditions including, Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorders, Adult ADHD, and OCD. I specialize in treating patients with Eating Disorders/Body Image Disturbances because they are often illustrative of conflicts and compromises between body and mind. I also work with my patients on outside relationship and life adjustment issues. Being bilingual and bi-cultural (American and Russian) myself, I explore how cultures and subcultures shape my patients' lives.
In my work with my patients, I strive to understand their distinctive life narratives and then make appropriate treatment recommendations.
My ultimate goal is collaborating with my patients to help them regain wellness, satisfaction, and optimal functioning in their lives.
