Dr. Aina was very patient with me, as it was my first time using telemedicine. The process from start to finish was seamless and I will be recommending him to family and friends.
I was unable to make my first patient appointment today and the office was very professional in the their manner in helping me reschedule it around our upcoming vacation, so I have remarked accordingly as best I could of my initial impressions of the Dr and his staff and it is all positive. I like the way the Dr has automated his system of appointment confirmations, and online information and look forward to reporting back on my visit.

More about Dr. Oluyemi Aina, MD

I tend to work best with persons who have tried several medications without significant improvement in symptoms and want to know the cause of their symptoms. My patients are motivated to make lifestyle changes and is willing to work with me by following a customized treatment plan. I avoid "the pill for every ill mantra." I believe that a one size fits all approach to treating chronic disease misses the mark and has not led to the optimal health patient so desperately desire. I am a board certified psychiatrist with subspecialty in sleep medicine. I completed a combined residency in family medicine-psychiatry. I have advanced training in functional medicine which attempts to find the underlying cause of chronic illness by assessing the gastrointestinal & immune function, detoxification, nutritional, hormonal, genetic and epigenetic function. I use functional medicine principles to improve the healthcare outcomes of my patients. We also utilize the Walsh protocol, nutrigenomics and other mind-body interventions. We find imbalances in the body systems, correct them and allow the body to restore itself to optimal functioning.

Be advised that you must be prepared to do the functional regimen or doctor declines to work with you, which of course is his prerogative.
Very unprofessional. Did not let me explain a five year experience with previous doctor. Criticized medication prescribed by previous doctor when I had never taken any of these medication before in my life and did not know anything about dosage or what it's long term effects are. Was blaming me for my previous Doctor's decisions on what amounts I should be taking. Did not want to hear any information of my present or past 5 years experiences to maybe explain some of the reasons for the medications or the decision the previous doctor made or for him to make better informed decisions. I told him I had not problem in making a plan to change my medication if needed in short or long term if he thought that was correct. He did not care. He had other patients and basically told me that was the end of the session because he had other patients to see. My first session with my previous psychiatrist was about 2 hours long and I had been seeing him for 4 to 5 years with many types of tests including DNA metabolic and Sleeping tests and many blood tests which he did in my first appointment. This Doctor did none of these, did not ask about any of my health issues if any, did not do a blood test, he just did not care at all. He took my money for the appointment and walked me out the door in 30 minutes saying that he had other patients. I never experienced such unprofessional treatment from a doctor and specially a psychiatrist that is supposed to be dealing whit people with mental and emotional issues. They also charged me the wrong contracted amount with my in insurance and them. Awful. The only reason I went to him is because my previous doctor got ill and disappeared in a week and I had been in a two year treatment that I could not just stop.
