On Lam is a compassionate and dedicated optometrist located in Jackson Heights, NY. He is a graduate of the State University of New York. He has also trained at both the Veteran’s Hospital in Newington and West Point Academy, where he learned more about a wide spectrum of eye diseases.
Dr. Lam provides comprehensive eye care, including contact lens and glasses fitting. His patients and their families often come to him for routine exams, glaucoma testing, and diabetic eye care. He treats a full scope of diseases and issues. In addition to his practice, Dr. Lam is part of a program called Childsight that allows him to provide free exams to children in low income schools, some of which are in the local Jackson Heights community. As a doctor, Dr. Lam’s goals are to help his patients see well and feel better, take part in their own eye care through education, and to take the time to get to know each individual.
Originally from a large family in Vietnam, Dr. Lam enjoys playing tennis and league bowling when he is not working.

Look no further a pleasure to have eye dr. Such as On Lam Ingrid was just as pleasant and helpful with picking out glasses and assistance with all my questions and concerns. Will be my go to eye dr. Also I don't understand why they charge me for the visits if in other places they don't charge. That's not really the doctors fault he's still pretty good.

I feel crazy saying this but I didn't read accurately that On, Lam was an optometrist. I thought I was booking for ophthalmologist. My eyes were hurting, but he is not really that bad. However I am a pearle vision customer. So after my eye exam I didn't like the glasses collection they had to offer, so I went to Pearle Vision, but his office authorized my insurance for glasses that I didn't take from them. I have to call repeatedly and they were like why you got a exam here if you didn't want glasses from here. I am never going back to this office, ever if the optometrist is great.

It was good. Doctor was great and receptionist or counter girl was nice. Though didn't like the frames they had. Not good frames and Not worth the price they were asking for. So decided to just get prescription and order online . Much cheaper.

The appointment was for my 5 year old, and it was the best! Dr. Lam engaged my child from the second he walked in, my son felt so comfortable and excited that he asked to come back every day to get his eyes checked. Dr. Lam was wonderful with my child and is so knowledgable, and very patient when answering questions.

I never went to an eye doctor before, and this was easy breezy. I got there 25 minutes early, and didn't even have to wait 10 minutes. Dr. Lam was very friendly and smiley. He asked me if I had any issues or anything about my eyes I wanted to talk about, but I didn't have anything that required special attention. All the standard tests were quick, and I was out of there within 10 minutes.
