Dr. Gelb treats patients experiencing depression, anxiety, worry, anger, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment issues, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, providing individual psychotherapy and medication management.
Dr. Gelb graduated from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences in 1984 and from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in 1990. She completed her internship and residency at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in 1994. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings since that time, providing care to patients with a broad range of psychiatric concerns and diagnoses. Following her residency Dr. Gelb worked as an Attending Psychiatrist on a Mental Health and Chemical Dependency unit at Four Winds Hospital in Katonah, NY and then returned to work as an Attending Psychiatrist at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center on a unit which specialized in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Gelb is currently working part time as an Attending Psychiatrist in the Evaluation and Referral Department at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Harrison, NY.
