I went for a regular check-up and was surprised by the reception. The forms they use are antiquated - there was a space for me to list my "husband" and no other options. When I was seen by Dr. Singleton, she did not ask whether I was sexually active, or if I had a regular partner. I went because I was interested in a UTI. She said that she could not perform this procedure because it "might affect my ability to have children." She also would not give me a birth control prescription unless I had a full blood panel. I picked Dr. Singleton because of her positive reviews, but my experience was...unsettling, and I did not return.
