Dr. Jaimes-Huerta received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry and Spanish in 1996 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She went on to complete her Medical Degree from the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Rockford in 2001. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Illinois in Rockford in 2004. She is board certified in Family Medicine and has hospital privileges at Sherman Hospital, Provena Saint Joseph Hospital and St. Alexius Medical Center. She is member of the American Academy of Family Medicine and the Illinois Medical Association. She has eight years of practice experience and has worked at the Greater Elgin Family Care Center and the Shappert Clinic in Belvidere before coming to Fox Valley Care Center.
Dr. Jaimes-Huerta is involved in preventive health education in the local community. She is very detail with patients, she appreciates when patients take her advice and she see improvement on next visit. I like the early morning appointments and how she tries to stay on time. My last doctor would make you wait 90 min before seeing you and you were the first patient. I am sadden that I had to move and change doctors.

Dr. Huerta is a,ways wonderful. She truly cares about her patients and always listens to your concerns. She is open to talking about any and all treatment options and makes sure you are comfortable and knowledgable about your treatment before you leave her office. She is great about answering questions you may have, even after leaving the office. She is great!

While I would recommend Dr. Jaimes-Huerta for sick visits, she wasn't a good fit for me to continue on as my regular physician. I felt as though issues I was having were brushed off and minimized (despite having labs to justify treatment courses). I also didn't like how rude the medical assistant was when she was taking my vitals. The practice did not exude a warm welcoming feeling one would hope to receive. Dr. Jaimes-Huerta's bedside manner (aside from making me feel like she was disregarding what I was saying my big problems were) was good. She was easy to talk to, I only wish I would have caught she didn't follow through with all the prescriptions I needed refills on and actually refilling the others to the proper amounts. Again, very frustrating. In conclusion, I am now in search of a different doctor.

Upon arriving, I suspected I would have to wait as the waiting room was full. That wasn't a big deal to me as long as my time with Dr Jaimes-Huerta didn't feel rushed. From the moment she walked in to the exam room, she took her time to listen and ended up making me feel as though I was her only patient that day. I am quite picky when it comes to choosing a doctor and based on our first encounter, I'm hopeful she continues with the same level of care. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor with compassion.
