Dr. Freeman grew up in Tucson, Arizona and attended The University of Arizona. "My interest in medicine began while working and living in West Africa where I witnessed the extraordinary need of the people there," Scott explains. He chose The University of Arizona College of Medicine for medical school because it was in his hometown. Scott completed his residency at Mercy Family Practice Residency in Denver, Colorado because it was a small community hospital program in a great city.
Dr. Freeman's special interests in medicine include sports medicine, diabetes and the prevention of cardiovascular disease. "I truly believe each patient has the power to influence their own health and with a partnership with their health car provider, they can optimize their own health," Scott stated. Scott and his wife, Kelly, have a daughter, Kayla. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, fine dining, cooking, running and spending time outdoors.
