The Foot and Leg Medical Center has been in the North Tampa area for over 30 years. Dr. Beyer has been with the practice since 2001. Dr. Beyer graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in biology. He went to Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.
He came to Tampa in 1996 and performed his residency training at the James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital. He performed both a podiatric medicine residency and a podiatric surgical residency. He was an attending doctor at the Veteran's Hospital after his training for over 10 years where he helped train residents and treated the veteran patient population. He was an Associate Clinical Professsor at The University of South Florida where he treated patients and helped with the resicency program. He helped research artificial skin graft substitues while at the university.
He is currently on staff at Tampa General Hospital and Florida Hospital-Fetcher Campus. He performs many of his surgeries at the Ambulatory Surgery Center in North Tampa. He is the director of the podiatry clinic at the Hillsborough County Specialty Center. He is the Chief of the Podiatry Service at Tampa General Hospital.
He is an active member in the American Podiatric Medical Association, Florida Podiatric Medical Association, and the Hillsborough County Podiatric Medical Association.
He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot surgery.
