I am a 58 year old family man. I was born and raised in Independence, Kansas. My family moved to Alvin, Texas in 1970, where I finished high school. My college time was spent in the Texas hill country at Texas Lutheran College. Since 1976 I have lived in the Dallas area, and I now reside in Mansfield, having relocated there in January of 2006.
My wife of 28 years, Brenda, is a pharmacist who is presently working at Adams Pharmacy in DeSoto. Our children are growing up rapidly. Our daughter, Lindsay, is an attorney here in the DFW area, and our son, Brian, is working in Human Resources consultation in Chicago. Maggie, our 1 year old half border collie half blue heeler rescue dog is the light of the household. She is a handful of intelligent energy and love.
I am committed to the preservation of the private practice of medicine. I have steadfastly resisted the trend toward group practice and the use of physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Much of my joy in practicing medicine is derived from the relationships I develop with my patients. I am privileged have many of my original patients from 1984 still call me their doctor.
My family and I are excited with the new Mansfield Methodist Medical Center. It has grown and improved since I delivered the first baby on December 27, 2006. The labor and delivery, nursery, post-partum, and outpatient surgery services are exceptional. The nursery is staffed with neo-natologists affilliated with Cooke Childrens' in Fort Worth, and is a quality level III A nursery. That allows us to care for premie babies down to 28 to 29 weeks. I am proud of the hospital facility, and proud to be one of the 6 original Ob-Gyns to call Mansfield Methodist home.
At 58 am I settling into a slightly more relaxed practice, which means less waiting, more personal time, and am enjoyng my work as much as ever. Don't worry, I won't be retiring any time soon. Come see us and meet our experienced staff, I think you will be pleased.

In my free time I enjoy playing golf, fishing, and landscape gardening. Watching things grow and creating beauty in and around my home is very rewarding.
