Dr Hayter is great but the staff is not efficient. I was in the office 50 minutes before being seen. 1 hr 45 min for an eye appointment I may not return next year.

Dr. Hayter was born in Alexandria, MN, spent his childhood in the Midwest moving from Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri. At the University of Missouri-Columbia he received his bachelor of science in biology graduating cum laude. After graduating, he went on to optometry school at the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry. During his training at the optometry school Dr. Hayter was treasurer and then president of Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. This organization allowed him to volunteer his skills to the underprivileged in Mexico in which he and a group of his fellow students performed free eye exams.
As a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist, Dr. Hayter specializes in diabetic, cataract, glaucoma, macular, and vitreo-retinal evaluations of the eye. He was trained by Dr. Ed Bennett on the fitting on contact lenses, which allows him to fit those that are difficult to fit and those with certain eye conditions such as keratoconus and corneal scars

This is the second year I’ve seen Dr. Hayter, and I still love the visit! He’s attentive and offers plenty of advice or insight if you ask anything or comment on something you’ve noticed with your eyes since your last visit. I’m happily renewing my Rx with Dr. Hayter’s office again this year!

Dr. Hayter and his entire team were very professional. The office was very well kept and clean. I'm new to Texas and actually got lost using my navigation which put me about 20 minutes away from the doctor and I was still able to be seen without having to reschedule. Dr. Heyter and his team definitely get an A+ in my book.

In their defense, I was 15 mins late for my appointment and they were incredibly gracious about letting me come in anway. Every one else who came in only seemed to wait 5-10 mins at the most for them to be called back. I was totally fine waiting.
Every one was so professional and pleasant. They explained everything clearly and at the end, I was handed my script with a copy of my charges without having to ask. I will go back Thursday for my contact lenses follow up and was told they'll give me that script on Thursday. They just want to make sure it's good.
